As you might have read elsewhere already, the Creative Marathon event this past weekend was a smashing success. Everyone had tons of fun and we successfully raised money for the Creative Treehouse by selling artwork created during the 24 hour marathon.

I enjoy attending and supporting local events, especially tech-oriented or socially-conscious ones. However, I often find that such local events have poor or inconsistent attendance. When I ask some of my tech-oriented, socially-conscious acquaintances why they don't try to attend these events too, I often get the following two excuses:
