Jia Ji, Director of Product Management

Jia Ji is the Director of Product Management for Dancetown, a dance-based digital fitness system developed for seniors. He also currently serves as Technology Director for NAAAP Pittsburgh, volunteers on the local game developers board, and helps organize the Pittsburgh PodCamp conference series. Prior to joining Touchtown, Jia was president and founder of Flying Fish Media. He is a Stanford University alumnus and actively supports grassroots technology efforts in the Pittsburgh area.

Having worked in the technology industry for over 10 years, Jia brings a wealth of strategic knowledge balanced with practical, hands-on implementation experience. Prior to joining the Dancetown team, Jia was president and founder of Flying Fish Media. He has also worked for a variety of technology startups such as Guru.com, Pittsburgh.com, Dreamwork Soft, Inecom Entertainment, Interactive Media Systems, and eGenesis.

He has written for industry journals and makes himself available as a source for mainstream media publications. The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, Daily Telegraph (UK), Toronto Star (Canada), Hindustan Times (India), Business Week, NPR, CNN.com, and Wired Magazine are some media outlets he has recently worked with.

Jia is a Stanford University alumnus and still actively supports higher education learning. He currently mentors students in CMU’s ETC Masters program, guest teaches for NFTE (National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship), and organizes the Pittsburgh PodCamp conference series. In the past, Jia has been a visiting instructor at Chengdu’s University of IT and lectured at Stanford, CMU, and Penn State. He has also done a variety of commercial and pro bono work for these and other educational organizations.
