PodCamp Boston and other updates

October 26, 2007 – 1:51 pm

So I’ve been neglecting this blog lately, but since I’m currently killing time in the Pittsburgh airport on route to PodCamp Boston, I figured this would be an appropriate time to get caught up.

In recent news, I’ve been tricked into joining another local organization’s board, so I’m now the Technical Director for PAAYPA, Pittsburgh Asian-American Young Professionals Association. I’ll try to write about the organization in a bit more detail later on, especially after we determine the exact details for our upcoming events.

And speaking of events, the last pinball one I blogged about went very well. This weekend, PIGDA will also be having a Halloween Studio Crawl. Basically, people will be dressing up in costumes for a tour of game development companies located in Pittsburgh’s South Side. Stay tuned for the next event I’m helping plan with PIGDA, which will be a gaming-related fundraiser to benefit the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in early December.

Well, it’s almost time for me to board my flight. If you see me in Boston this weekend, feel free to say hello (or introduce yourself if we’ve never met in person before). I finally put up a headshot on my about/bio page, so it should be relatively easy to spot me.

  2. I just visited the PAAYPA site and you weren’t listed on the board. I’d get that organization in gear.

  3. Thanks for catching that, Norm. We finally got around to updating the site and there’s now short writeups about the latest board members.
